12th October update 2 - restoration of gas supply

We are working hard to restore the gas supply back to as many of our customers as possible and we thank everyone for their patience as we work through this issue. We are testing the network over this afternoon which means that we check the supply at key points, these are:

- Le Quennevais

- Tunnel Street

- Grouville

- Rozel

- Gorey Hill

The safe restoration of gas supply is taking place in two phases:

Phase 1:

These are customers that need to be visited by an engineer. We know who these customers are. Customers in this phase are receiving communications from us via letter, SMS and email letting them know that an engineer will be restoring their supply.  If customers are out when an engineer visits, they will receive a slip through their door asking them to book an appointment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Please do not turn on the gas yourself if you have received a communication telling you an engineer will be visiting you.

Please note: If you do not receive the above communication then you will be able to self-restore when Island Energy has completed phase 1.

Phase 2:

These customers can self-restore, which means they do not need a visit from an engineer.  Customers who can self-restore are receiving communications via letter and email with step-by-step instructions of how to do this.

We will inform customers when it is time to turn on their gas via letter, email, txt, through local media and on our website and social media channels.
