12th October update - interruption to gas supply

We are working to restore your gas supply as soon as possible. Our plant has been up and running as expected for the last 24 hours. We are moving forward with our gas supply restoration plans. As we’ve previously stated, this needs done to be a controlled way.

There are two phases

Phase 1:

These are customers that need to be visited by an engineer. We know who these customers are. Customers in this phase are receiving communications from us via letter, SMS and email letting them know that an engineer will be restoring their supply.  If customers are out when an engineer visits, they will receive a slip through their door asking them to book an appointment.

If you do not receive the above communication then you will be able to self-restore when Island Energy have completed phase 1.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Please do not turn on the gas yourself if you have received a communication telling you an engineer will be visiting you.

Phase 2:

These customers can self-restore, which means they do not need a visit from an engineer.  Customers who can self-restore are receiving communications via letter and email with step-by-step instructions of how to do this.

We will inform customers when it is time to turn on their gas via letter, email, txt, through local media and on our website and social media channels.

There will be a further update at lunchtime today.

We have updated our FAQ's which you can see here
